Economic Outlook: Canada Bounces Back
Where is the Canadian economy headed against the many diverse factors swirling around the global outlook? The U.S. economy has yet to gather momentum following last year’s surprising election result, while Europe continues to quietly improve, and China is still forging ahead. Meanwhile, Canada has been a pleasant surprise this year, posting the best growth in the G7 and prompting the Bank of Canada to raise interest rates, but now dealing with a stronger Canadian dollar and a cooling housing market.
